Filming in Fremont Place

Filming may only take place in the neighborhood when the film production company has signed and agreed to abide by the rules set forth in the Entrance License Agreement. Production companies may click on the link to obtain a copy of the most current agreement. The Entrance License Agreement must also be signed by the owner. No filming activity will be permitted until a signed agreement is received by the association.

In January 2007, the Fremont Place Association contracted with an experienced location manager to be present during all filming in the park to better protect the interests of all residents. Production companies who want to film in the park are required to pay an additional fee for site management.  The FPA site manager is available to assist production companies with the logistics of filming.

The FPA site manager does not represent any individual homeowners to avoid any potential conflict of interest. Some homeowners who are interested in filming have exclusive representation contracts with location services for their homes, others do not. For those homeowners who are interested in filming, residents may post information on their house under the Houses tab of this website. This section is new and currently does not have any homes featured, however it will be continually updated as residents provide information. This section is limited. It is provided as a service to residents and is not intended to compete with location mangers who currently represent homes or would like to in the future. Location managers interested in filming in Fremont Place are invited to contact the association or the association's site manager to visit the neighborhood.

The Association’s Entrance License agreement in no way eliminates or fulfills the Licensee Production Company’s obligation to obtain permission from the individual owners of any property within the Park that it intends to use for its activities, including parking, or to comply with all applicable city of Los Angeles filming rules and current permitting regulations.

The Licensee Production Company is advised that homeowners within the Park own all real property within the Park, including the area to the midpoint of the street in front of each home. In addition the following fees are payable to Fremont Place Association by the licensee production company for entry into the neighborhood. Please note the fees escalate to discourage excessive filming activity at any one house. A chart of filming days per house can be accessed by clicking on the Schedule tab.

Effective November 1, 2007 Fremont Place has developed a separate agreement for still photography with a different schedule of rates which escalate over time to discourage overuse of one residence. An agreement is required for any still photography shoots that occur in the neighborhood and can obtained by clicking on the tab on the left.
